Hello, i bought same unit from someone. There is sound of guitar but no effects sound - no matter what i press. Its because im missing defeat switch pedal? I found out that look like there a defeat switch that needs to be connected on back to active effects?

I think the red light is clipping... Wouldn't go above 50% i wonder about it as a de-esser. I'm not so sure about this plugin... It could be a good little sweetener for some people... Maybe it would sit someone perfectly for spoken word for example

Some side-chain compression instance to make more room for everything and and it's a good rough mix... Not usually using channel strips... But this would a very usable one! I like it.

Looking for a simple way to complete the pallet of overdrive types on my board (Bluesbreaker, Blues Driver, Klon type, Screamer and 250/Dist+) I ordered this one a couple of days ago. I’ve moved several od’s off my board, and I feel cleansed.

Transient Section (Sidechain) - BOOST (dB) : 0 to 10 *While boosting attack, it will reduce decay/release of signal to make compressor more sensitive with only attacks/peaks. - TILT (~1kHz Center) : -6dB to 6 dB *It's placed before BOOST to send only dedicated range to BOOST. So, BOOST will affect only given frequency range and will boost only this range's transients. If TILT is default, BOOST will affect overall transients. - MIX (%) : DRY to WET *Will blend DRY and WET signal. After boosting transients, you can blend with DRY signal to keep reduced release of signal. When MIX in default position, TR is off. So, you can turn MIX knob to all the way up to engage TR section.

As primarily a Tele player myself I find this a very interesting demo. ... I am looking for it to do some different things (other than grunge sounds) myself. Unlike the stock DS1 which seems to compress the lows and highs too much to my liking this "improved DS1" seems to leave the lows and highs relatively intact. I know this pedal get criticism for making humbucking guitars "flubby" in the low end - therefore making me think this pedal is better suited to single coil guitars (maybe even vintage pafs with a lower output and more top end presence and tigher lows). Could be the ideal pedal I looking for with Teles which is a less compressed DS1 that can do a tubescreamer mid boost type thing in alternate mide (while still keeping the lows/highs fairly intact). Do you agree with my assessment? I have a sansamp RK5 with the OMG Kotzen OD/Distortion which meets what I am going for (with a Marshall type voicing into the Blackface style Sansamp of that unit) but is locked into the signal path of the RK5. I am looking to the same sort of thing into Sansamp Fuzzy Brit (plexi style preamp). The Fuzzy Brit doesn't need the Marshall voicing cause it already has it. Really wanting a solid full range distortion that can do the mid boost thing on command (for light to heavy texas blues/bluesbreaker style OD that doesn't box in the tele like an Ibanez Tubescreamer dies) and this seems like it could be it???? Not looking for BD2 fuzzy type OD either. I personally think that pedal is more aimed at LP style guitars and is great for that... Thoughts from others with experience with this pedal and a Tele into plexi style amps would be appreciated.

A bit of research on the other names for this pedal with a mid cut come up with the name Rockready RF-1 Retro Fuzz and the Yuer RF-10 fuzz (which appear to be the same pedal) Could this based around the Royal Fuzz Box TF-1 / RF-1 (Univox Super Fuzz clone) The description of the Super Fuzz sounds in the ballpark. "There are two unique features of this device that set it apart from other distortion and fuzz pedals. The first is that the full-wave rectification of the circuit produces an upper octave as well as a slight lower octave. This also gives the sound a lot of compression and gives a mild ring modulator effect. The second unique feature is a tone switch that engages a 1kHz filter that "scoops" the mids, giving a very fat, almost bassy tone, unique to this circuit" Description of the Royal RF-1 " Compared to the grey Super Fuzz it has more splat and upper octave, and the overall GROWL is more apparent." One thing I'd love explained about this plug-in, why do red clip lights show up full time on the input meter? Does this mean we should be adjusting our track gain into the plug-in first?

My first distortion pedal too, totally underrated pedal. I was always complimented on my tone when i used this pedal. Still regret trading it away because it was really something special with an impressive range of tones from hard rock to punk to metal, i prefer it over many other higher rated distortions.

Total sleeper. Getting one.

Man sounds great I love the jingle jangle in the AC 50 for the clean stuff in semi dirty stuff. The original song you wrote your son's killer I really like it it's got a really good vibe to it and feel ! Do you have lyrics and vocals for this tune? I had a 63 coppertop vox ac30 non top boost . I bought it from Mike Elkins guitars in Nashville . He said man it's not a top boost but don't worry about it it doesn't need it this app has plenty of the game just bridge the 2 channels. Man that thing was even thicker then a top boost model. I just put a early 90s Klon centuar in front of it with a clean boost echoplex and oh my god! They have the original silver alnicos
